When it comes to garlic it all comes down to the quantity and quality. When used properly garlic is awesome for:   

  • Killing bacteria, fungus, parasites, and cancer cells
  • immune support & healthy
  • improving circulation
  • helps prevent formation of blood clots
  • lowers blood cholesterol and widens blood vessels
  • helps prevent tumor formation
  • works to slow and prevent some cancer cells
  • antifungal
  • antibiotic
  • helps support liver function
  • simulates lymph movement
  • repeals fleas, worms, and parasites


 

Garlic is packed with a ton of nutrients for dogs including:   

  • potassium
  • sulfer
  • phosphorous
  • vitamins A & B
  • zinc
  • calcium
  • allicin (active enzyme that makes garlic antibiotic, anti-cancer, & antioxidant) 
  •   

    When adding garlic to your dog's diet always make sure:    

  • to only use fresh, organic, & USA grown garlic. Chinese garlic consistently tests positive for arsenic, heavy metals, & chlorine.
  • properly dose for your dogs size & lifestyle
  •   

    Avoid garlic use in dogs who:   

    • have IBS
    • are pregnant or nursing
    • breeds who are prone to anemia (shiba inus, akitas)
    • puppies under 6 months of age


     

    Start by adding small amounts and work gradually to the maximum dosage. Use a measuring spoon after finely mincing (nothing from a jar). Feed this amount daily every other week. Maximum suggested dosage:   

    • 5 lbs 1/6 tsp
    • 10 lbs 1/ 3 tsp
    • 15 lbs 1/2 tsp
    • 20 lbs 2/3 tsp
    • 30 lbs 1 tsp
    • 25 - 50 lbs 1/4 clove
    • 50 - 75 lbs 3/4 clove
    • 100+ lbs 1 clove
